History of Har Ghar Tiranga Campaign
Indian government started the “Har Ghar Tiranga” campaign under the aegis of the Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav in 2022.
The Har Ghar Tiranga Campaign was started to encourage the citizens of the country to hoist and display the Indian flag i.e. Tiranga in their homes, offices, schools, etc.
Har Ghar Tiranga Campaign 2024
The Union Minister of Culture and Tourism Mr. Gajendra Singh Shekhawat on 8th August announced the third edition of the Har Ghar Tiranga campaign will be celebrated from 9th August to 15th August 2024.
The Ministry of Culture is the nodal agency for the Har Ghar Tiranga Campaign.
The Ministry of Culture has set up a dedicated portal for the Har Ghar Tiranga Campaign where users can upload their pictures by hoisting the Tiranga.
As per the data during the time of writing of this blog, a total of 953158 flags have been hoisted and a total of 1134018 pictures have been uploaded on the Har Ghar Tiranga Portal.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi through social media platform X (former Twitter) has also urged the whole nation to participate in the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign. Previously on the 112th edition of the radio broadcast ‘Mann ki Baat,’ Prime Minister Modi urged the people to be involved in the celebration of Har Ghar Tiranga.

Activities under Har Ghar Tiranga Celebration
Multiple activities like – Tiranga Rungs, Tiranga Concerts, Street Plays, Painting Competitions, Exhibitions on the Evolution of TIranga, Flash Mobs, and Tiranga Bike Rallies will be organized nationwide as a part of the Har Ghar Tiranga campaign.

Partition Horrors Remembrance Day, or विभाजन विभीषिका स्मृति दिवस, was first observed on August 14, 2021. Prime Minister Narendra Modi declared August 14 to be celebrated as Partition Horrors Remembrance Day in his speech on August 15, 2021, at the Red Fort in Delhi.

Requirements: You will need a mobile number to participate in the Har Ghar Tiranga Campaign.
Here is a step-by-step guide on how to participate in the Har Ghar Tiranga Campaign 2024 and download your participation certificate.
Step 1: Visit the Har Ghar Tiranga 2024 campaign portal at “harghartiranga.com” and click on the “Upload Selfie” button.
Step 2: Click the “Next” button at the bottom.
Step 3: Enter your Name and Mobile Number in respective text boxes. Select your country and State name. Then Click on the “Upload Selfie” button.
