Former Congress leader and India’s Former External Affairs Minister K. Natwar Singh passed away at the age of 93 due to a prolonged illness at the Medanta Hospital in Gurugram on Saturday.

Kunwar Natwar Singh was born in 1931 in Bharatpur district of Rajasthan.
Natwar Singh was a politician and a diplomat. Also, Natwar Singh authored multiple books including ‘The Legacy of Nehru: A Memorial Tribute’ and ‘My China Diary 1956-88’.
K. Natwar Singh joined the Indian Foreign Service in 1953. However, in 1984, he quit the service to run for elections as a Congress member. He won the election and served as a Union minister of state until 1989.
Natwar Singh received Padma Bhushan, the third-highest civilian award in India, in 1984.
