Educational Qualifications for UKPSC APS Recruitment 2024
- Educational Qualifications for UKPSC APS Recruitment 2024 is the candidate should have a bachelor’s degree from a university established by law in India or any qualification recognized as equivalent by the government. Also, passing a practical examination of computer knowledge is mandatory in the main examination.
- For Hindi shorthand, the speed is a minimum of 80 words per minute and the typing speed is a of minimum 8000 key depression per hour on computer typing of transcription.
- For English shorthand, the speed is a minimum of 100 words per minute and the typing speed of the transcription is 9000 key depression per hour.
Note: The English shorthand exam is optional for the candidates appearing in the UKPSC APS Exam. Candidates with English shorthand will be given preference in the UKPSC APS exam selection.
Preferential Qualification
- Have served in the territorial army for at least 02 years.
- Have obtained a ‘B’ or ‘C’ certificate from the National Cadet Corps (NCC).

The minimum age limit for the UKPSC APS 2024 exam is 21 years, and the maximum age limit is 42 years.

- Go to the official website of Uttarakhand Public Service Commission psc.uk.gov.in or ukpsc.net.in
- After viewing the advertisement on ukpsc.net.in, click on the “How to Apply” link in the Menubar. On the “How to Apply” page, check Advertisement Details, Important Dates, and Instructions. Then click on “Apply Now.”.
- After clicking “Apply Now,” fill in the Registration Form with accurate information, create a password for login, and click Submit.
- After clicking Submit, verify the displayed Basic Information. Tick “I have verified all the details entered by me in the registration form and wish to submit the same” and click Submit. If you need to edit details, tick “No, I want to change some details,” click Edit, make changes, and then submit the Registration Form again.
- After clicking Submit, you’ll see a confirmation that Primary Registration is complete. You’ll receive a message on your registered mobile number and email. Then click “Click here to log in.”
- After logging in, you’ll see the Educational Details page. Check the mandatory educational eligibility and tick the checkbox. Then fill in details for High School under Add Education Details and click Add Education Detail. Incorrect entries can be edited or deleted by clicking on the Edit/Delete icons in the grid. Similarly, fill in details for Intermediate, Graduate, and other educational qualifications. Fill in other details on the form and click Continue.
- Next, on the Photo & Signature to Upload tab, upload your photo and signature based on the provided instructions. Then, click on the final submission of your application.
Note: Candidates can edit their details before final submission by clicking on the back & edit button. After the final submission, candidates wouldn’t be able to edit their details. Also, after completing the registration process mobile number can’t be edited.
Process to Edit or correct online application for Uttarakhand APS 2024
Here are the steps to edit or change your application for Uttarakhand APS 2024 after submitting your online application:
- After 5 working days from the last date of the online application edit or correction window will be opened by the Uttarakhand Public Service Commission.
- The duration of the edit or correction window will be 10 days.

For the post of Upper Personal Secretary in Hindi shorthand, a speed of 80 words per minute is required. Candidates will be expected to transcribe a spoken Hindi passage on a computer at the specified speed within 5 minutes, for which they will be given 35 minutes. The passage will be selected to test not only the speed of shorthand but also the knowledge of idiomatic language. If a candidate makes more than 5% errors, they will be deemed ineligible for employment.
5. English Shorthand

For the post of Upper Personal Secretary in English shorthand, a speed of 100 words per minute is required. Candidates will be expected to transcribe a spoken English passage on a computer at the specified speed within 5 minutes, for which they will be given 35 minutes. The passage will be selected to test not only the speed of shorthand but also the knowledge of idiomatic language. If a candidate makes more than 5% errors, they will be deemed ineligible for preference.
Note: Only candidates who pass the Hindi and English typing tests will be eligible for the computer knowledge test. Similarly, only candidates who pass the computer knowledge test will be eligible for the Hindi and English shorthand test. The English shorthand test will be optional for preferential qualification.
